When class 6a found out that Santa was still looking for homes for his elves during the Christmas season, they were more than happy to help. Soon after they had written their application letter, the elf arrived in a parcel. After three wonderful weeks the class found a good-bye letter with some (s)elfies. Here it is:

Dear all,

today is my last day at this school and I wanted to let you know that I had a wonderful time! 

During my stay, I lived in a locker. I know, most of you usually put books and personal belongings in them. However, it makes a great elf-house, too: It is quiet and has a cosy atmosphere. 

I found a new friend: Emma, a school dog. She sometimes dresses up as a reindeer. I flew with Emma through the hallways and dropped magic Christmas treats here and there. These treats brought the Christmas spirit to all the kids and teachers… as you might have noticed. Emma and I had such a cool time!

I liked that you have a gym at your school and built my personal little candy gym. I must say, I got rather strong muscles this winter! I am going to miss this gym.

Another of my favourite places at your school was the library. It was so quiet there – perfect for reading books and relaxing – and it is fun to watch the students read and work. When I got bored, I got creative with the books and comics… 

What a nice surprise that you actually have a kitchen at your school. I used it to make some biscuits and have some fun with the flour. There is nothing like fresh biscuits!

I really liked the vending machine in the cafeteria. My favourite drink was hot chocolate. I enjoyed it while watching the children play in the schoolyard.

Unfortunately, I have to say good-bye now. I will miss the whole school, especially Emma, but I will miss the hot chocolate the most.
